The beginning
In 1995 a few grad-students felt like dancing, some wanted to make music, but they all mostly wanted to make a difference using their talents. Two months later 13thFLOOR was born. Better known back then as “C-Kruis”.
Our name
There’s a lot of superstition around the number 13. Airplanes don’t have a thirteenth seat row. Many buildings don’t have a numbered thirteenth floor. This company goes to places in ministry where people are afraid to go.
What can I expect from a year in 13th FLOOR?
A year in 13thFLOOR consists of a training period of fourmonthsand a performance/ministry period of seven months. During the training period you are trained on two levels: artistically and spiritually. Artistically, you will receive professional dance training and band members will receive specialised training in their instruments. Vocal training is available for lead vocalists. Many weeks of rehearsals go into putting our shows together and becoming performance-ready for our tours. Spiritually and emotionally you will be equipped to be a sharp tool in ministry, not only in 13thFLOOR, but also for the rest of your life.
Our shows
With regard to performances we regard excellence and innovationas key values in the creation of our all original shows. These shows seek to draw a picture of life and then show how Jesus is real within that picture. They are stories of young people with real issues. Stories that draw the youth in and unlock their hearts.
Training
13thFLOOR is also a ministry and all about renewing minds and transforming lives. We go to great measures to prepare our students for, and launch them into the individual calling of God for their lives – be it in the ministry or in the market place.
